A perfect duo for rescue: The reliable CareSens N NFC blood glucose meter from A.F.S. Biotechnik now communicates with the NIDApad.

For many years, rescue services have appreciated the reliable and attractively priced products of the CareSens N line. The new partnership between A.F.S.-Biotechnik and medDV GmbH from Fernwald in central Hesse now significantly expands the range of applications for this customer group: in the future, the CareSens N NFC can be read out very easily via the NIDApad.

The robust NIDApad enables reliable mobile data acquisition in the tough environment of rescue services and is now standard in many deployment scenarios. In addition to communication between the control center and the ambulance or navigation to the scene, communication with other medical devices is also one of the pad’s basic functions.

This is precisely where the new cooperation with A.F.S. Biotechnik comes into play: the CareSens N NFC can be coupled with the NIDApad via an NFC interface. Incidentally, everyone is familiar with NFC (near-field communication) technology from everyday life: for example, it enables wireless exchange between two devices in the immediate vicinity in the case of bank cards. Blood glucose readings can thus be transferred extremely quickly and reliably from the meter to the pad.
